The Department of Science and Technology - Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (DOST-PHIVOLCS) will officially inaugurate the PHIVOLCS Visayas Cluster Monitoring Center for Earthquake and Tsunami (PVCMCET) on 10 May 2024 8:30 AM at PVCMCET, Purok 11-Santan, Brgy. North Poblacion, San Fernando, Cebu. The PVCMCET is a strategic state-of-the-art facility to ensure service continuity of DOST-PHIVOLCS national earthquake and tsunami monitoring operations in cases of major disruptions in key operations of the PHIVOLCS Data Receiving Center (DRC) in Quezon City.
