STII research specialist wins book review competition
Cymbeline Villamin, a supervising science research specialist of the Science and Technology Information Institute emerged as a weekly winner in the year-long "My Favorite Book" writing competition sponsored by the National Book Store.
Villamin's entry, "Women on Fire sets me ablaze" was published by Philippine Star in its June 13 2004 issue, based on the book Women on Fire by Lorna Kalaw-Tirol. The review can be viewed at http://www.philstar.com/philstar/LIFESTYLE200406143706.htm She received P3000 worth of gift certificates from National Book Store.
Villamin heads the STII e-books project and has released nine PDF e-books on CD format namely Tekno Tulong Vols. 1-17, Biographies of Early Scientists in the Philippines Vols. 1-2, Science References, ICT Resources, Web Design Tutorials, Microsoft Tutorials.
