Fortuna (middle) as director of DOST—National Capital Region at the DOST main office in Bicutan, Taguig, Metro Manila.  Dr. Fortuna was former DOST-Region IV director where she helped accelerate the technology transfer program and support to urban-based micro, small and medium enterprises. She pledges to promote and implement programs on the use of clean technologies and geographical information system to mitigate traffic problems and strengthen urban agriculture. She was chosen as one of the Ten Outstanding Citizens of Carmona, Cavite in 2001. Also in the photo is Fortuna's husband Cesar and daughter Gigi.
