Science club advisers to hold 4-day confab The Science Club Advisers Association of the Philippines, Inc. in cooperation with the Department of Education-Center for Students and Co-Curricular Affairs, and the Philippine Science Journalists Association, Inc. will hold the 2004 NSCM-SCAAP National Convention and Expo at the Philippine Carabao Center, Science City, Munoz, Nueva Ecija on September 26-30. The four-day event will focus on the theme “Science Club Leaders Transcending to Changing Times and Needs”. The activity is pursuant to Presidential Proclamation No. 28 on the celebration of the National Science Club Movement. SCAAP aims to explore new ideas in adapting to diverse changes in education, culture and technology, enhance knowledge on strategies in developing quality education, and update knowledge on various technological advancements. Activities will include plenary sessions, expo visit, quiz bee, journalism workshop, cultural presentations, and convention proper. Participants to this event are science club advisers, science teachers, master teachers, department heads, school principals and administrators, science supervisors, and science enthusiasts from elementary and secondary public and private schools nationwide.
